The Metropolitan District is excited to announce the annual training event, scheduled for Saturday, September 27th, starting at 9 AM.
This years training will be held at Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Dobbs Ferry, New York 10522
The event always offers an excellent opportunity to expand your skills and deepen your knowledge in several critical areas vital to our community's health and growth, including:
- - Trustees - Led by Conference Chair Tiffany French Goffe, this session will cover essential topics related to church governance, financial management, and best practices for effective stewardship.
- - Statistics - Led by Rev. Wren Hillis, this workshop will focus on the importance of data in ministry, including how to accurately gather and interpret statistics to inform decision-making and facilitate growth.
- - SPRC (Staff Parish Relations Committee) - Led by Rev. Noel Chin, this training will provide insights into fostering healthy relationships between clergy and laity, addressing conflicts, and understanding the role of the SPRC in supporting church staff.
Additionally, please note that lunches will be available for purchase during the event, with proceeds supporting the Metropolitan Trustees.
